Solar Warranty Rescue Kit
Which warranties on your system are still in force, who honors each one now, and how to claim.
Your system is still registered to your installer
Enphase told us you do not own a system. That is almost always right and almost never your fault: installers commission systems under their own Enlighten account and many never hand it over. The hardware is yours. The account is not, yet.
Getting your name on it is worth doing whether or not you ever buy anything from us. It is what lets you see your own production, and it is what makes a manufacturer warranty claim provable.
- Go to enlighten.enphaseenergy.com/ownership_transfer and sign in, or create an Enphase account first if you do not have one.
- Have your property address to hand. A serial number helps but is not required, and your install paperwork lists it. Do not climb up to read one off a panel or microinverter.
- Say plainly that your installer is no longer in business and you are requesting owner access to your own system. That phrase is the one that routes it correctly.
We are not linking a support phone number here, because Enphase does not publish one on its own site and we will not print a number we have not confirmed answers.
You make this request to Enphase directly, because the account has to go into your name rather than ours. Transfers usually take a few days. Come back and try again once Enphase confirms it, and tell us if you get stuck.
Your production report is being built
We have your monitoring data and we are pulling your production history now. We will email you the moment it is ready, normally within one business day. You do not need to do anything else.
The report tells you whether your system is producing what it should be, and it is the evidence a manufacturer warranty or production guarantee claim needs.
How to spot a failing panel yourself
Once you have owner access, the Enphase app shows you every microinverter individually. We read your system at the whole-system level, so this is one thing you can see that we cannot. It takes about two minutes and it is worth doing.
- Open the Enphase app and find the array or devices view, which draws one tile per panel.
- Pick a bright day around midday and look at the tiles together. They should be roughly even. Shade from a tree or a chimney will dim the same few tiles at the same time each day, and that is normal.
- A tile reporting nothing at all, while its neighbours report normally, usually means the microinverter has failed rather than the panel. That is an Enphase claim, and Enphase is operating normally and ships replacements free on a valid claim.
- A tile consistently lower than its neighbours but not zero, in the same conditions, points at the panel itself. That is a claim against your panel manufacturer.
Screenshot anything that looks wrong, with the date visible, and send it to us. A dated screenshot is evidence, and evidence is what a manufacturer asks for first.

Your Production Audit needs your system's output data. Connect your monitoring account so we can watch for production drops and warn you in time to file manufacturer warranty claims.
You have an Enphase or Enlighten account and know the password.
Normal when your installer set the system up and kept the account. Put it in your name first.
Not sure which you are? Try connecting. If Enphase says you do not own a system, that answers it, and we will show you the transfer steps.
Equipment warranties in force
These run out. Every one of them has an end date, and once it passes, a repair that would have been covered becomes a bill you pay. The catch is that a manufacturer will not take your word that something is wrong: a claim needs evidence that your system is producing less than it should. Nobody is collecting that evidence for you right now.
Request a battery quote
A battery will not make your panels produce more, but it can help you save money on your power bill monthly. You may be able to realize actual savings with the correct battery.
We route you to a licensed installer in your state. Free to ask, and a soft credit check only if you go as far as financing.
Problems with your solar contract, loan, or installer?
If your system underperforms, your installer disappeared, or your financing terms feel wrong, a consumer attorney can review your situation and tell you what options you actually have, including arbitration. We connect you at no cost with an attorney in your area who handles solar cases, and your request stays private.
What the review covers: your installation and financing agreements, warranty and lien status, and how your system was sold and set up. The attorney decides whether you have a case.
SolarDisclosure is not a law firm and this is not legal advice. We share your request with an independent attorney partner who decides whether to take your case.
