SolarDisclosure™ Brand Usage Guidelines
Effective: 2026-05-19. Applies to all active Subscribers under the RE Pro Subscription Agreement.
1. Purpose and scope
These Guidelines define how active SolarDisclosure™ Certified Partner Subscribers may use the SolarDisclosure™ brand — including the name, logos, the Certified Partner badge, color palette, typography, and supplied marketing assets. Compliance is a condition of the Subscription.
2. The marks
2.1 Names
The proper textual references to the brand:
- First reference: "SolarDisclosure™"
- Subsequent references: "SolarDisclosure" (™ symbol optional)
- Possessive: "SolarDisclosure's"
- Never: "Solar Disclosure" (two words), "SolarDisclose," "SD," or any abbreviation
Describing Subscriber status:
- Acceptable: "SolarDisclosure™ Certified Partner", "A SolarDisclosure™ Certified Partner serving [market]"
- Not acceptable: "SolarDisclosure agent", "SolarDisclosure representative", "Authorized by SolarDisclosure", "SolarDisclosure-endorsed"
2.2 Logo and badge files

3. The Certified Partner badge
3.1 What it signifies
The Certified Partner badge identifies Subscriber as an active SolarDisclosure™ Subscriber in good standing. It does not signify any certification of professional skill or any guarantee of outcome — it is a designation of relationship, not credential.
3.2 Where the badge MAY be used (active Subscribers only)
- Email signature, business cards, and Subscriber's professional website
- Listing flyers and marketing materials for properties where Subscriber has actually engaged SolarDisclosure or is offering the engagement as a service tier
- LinkedIn, Instagram, and other professional social-media profile bios
- Co-branded listing-flyer templates from the Subscriber portal
- Subscriber's profile in the public SolarDisclosure™ Partner Directory
3.3 Where the badge MAY NOT be used
- On any property listing or marketing where SolarDisclosure has not been engaged
- On any listing or material after the engagement for that property has been cancelled or refunded
- After the Subscription has lapsed, been cancelled, suspended, or revoked — remove immediately
- In any context unrelated to Subscriber's real-estate or lending profession
- In any context implying SolarDisclosure endorses a specific transaction, price, or financing arrangement beyond the SolarDisclosure deliverables themselves
- On signage, billboard, or out-of-home advertising larger than 30 square feet without prior written approval
- On any television, radio, or streaming-video advertisement without prior written approval
- Combined with any other brand's logo in a way that implies an unauthorized partnership
3.4 Approved accompanying language
Pre-approved phrases (use as written):
- "SolarDisclosure™ Certified Partner"
- "[Subscriber name] is a SolarDisclosure™ Certified Partner"
- "Solar disclosure reports available through SolarDisclosure™"
- "Ask me about a SolarDisclosure™ System Performance Report"
- "Powered by SolarDisclosure™" (when SolarDisclosure data appears in a flyer)
4. Prohibited usage
Specific examples of misuse that will trigger brand-credential revocation under the Subscription Agreement:
- Stale badging. Displaying the badge after the Subscription has been cancelled.
- Misappropriated endorsement. Implying SolarDisclosure has endorsed Subscriber beyond the standard Subscription.
- Outcome guarantees. Using the badge alongside any guarantee of appraised value, sale price, financing terms, or warranty coverage.
- Disparagement. Using SolarDisclosure's name to make negative or comparative statements about Enphase, SolarEdge, any installer, or any competitor.
- Off-brand context. Using the badge with content that is political, religious, sexual, gambling-related, MLM-related, or otherwise inconsistent with professional positioning.
- Resale or sublicensing. Granting third parties the right to use SolarDisclosure marks.
5. Approval workflow for non-standard uses
Submit a Brand Request through the Subscriber portal with mockups, draft copy, intended placement, and audience. SolarDisclosure will respond within five (5) business days with approval, requested modifications, or denial. Approvals apply only to the specific use described.
6. Audit and consequences
SolarDisclosure may conduct quarterly compliance audits. Consequence ladder:
- Minor / inadvertent: written notice, 14 days to cure
- Moderate (stale badging, off-spec copy): written notice, 7 days to cure, escalation if recurring
- Material (off-brand context, outcome guarantees, disparagement): immediate brand-credential revocation
- Wilful misappropriation: immediate Subscription termination, possible legal action
7. Updates and questions
These Guidelines may be updated with 30 days' notice via the Subscriber portal. Questions: admin@solardisclosure.io
