If you financed solar with Mosaic, your statements may now come from Solar Servicing LLC. Mosaic filed for Chapter 11 in 2025, and its loan servicing operations moved to Solar Servicing after the court approved its plan. Here is what that means for your payments, who to contact, and what to do if the company that installed your system is gone too.
For most Mosaic borrowers, Solar Servicing LLC is now the servicer, and it says there are no changes to payment terms or schedules. Keep paying on time. Some Mosaic loans were sold to investors who chose a different servicer; if you got a letter naming someone else, follow that letter.
Get help with my solar loan →What happened to Mosaic
Solar Mosaic LLC, one of the largest residential solar lenders, went through a court-supervised Chapter 11 reorganization in 2025. Solar Servicing LLC, a loan servicer based in Chevy Chase, Maryland and a wholly owned subsidiary of Forbright Bank, acquired Mosaic's loan servicing operations. Solar Servicing announced the transaction was complete on September 22, 2025. Mosaic no longer makes new loans.
Did your loan terms change?
Solar Servicing's FAQ says there are no changes to payment terms or schedules for borrowers, and that you must keep paying under your loan agreement. Your interest rate, payment amount and due date stay the same. Missing payments can still hurt your credit, and many solar loans are backed by a UCC-1 filing against the equipment that shows up when you sell or refinance.

If your installer is also gone
Many Mosaic borrowers bought from installers that have since closed. Your loan is a separate contract from your installer, so the installer closing does not by itself change what you owe. What it does change is who fixes the system. Your panels and inverter are covered by the manufacturers' warranties, which do not depend on the installer. The installer's own workmanship warranty usually goes with it.
If your system has stopped producing while you are still paying, document it now: monitoring screenshots, dates, photos, and every call or email with the servicer. That record is what any next step depends on, whether that is a warranty claim, a repair, or a dispute.
Tell us what is happening. We identify your equipment and warranties and lay out the options for your situation.

Ask Solar Servicing for a written payoff statement early. If there is a UCC-1 filing tied to the loan, title will want it released at payoff. Keep the payoff letter and the release confirmation for your closing file.
